Asif Ahmad is a former UK diplomat and served as High Commissioner to Jamaica from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, he was Ambassador to Thailand and the Philippines. In the UK, he served as a Senior Civil Servant with assignments that included the Prime Minister's Office, international trade and Commonwealth issues. He was awarded a CMG in the Queen’s 2017 Birthday Honours.

He worked at NatWest for 20 years in both international and UK retail banking. He ran a network of branches in south London. His experience included working closely with the Board of Directors and senior executives through periods of growth and challenging times.

As a Team Leader at Business Link London, he provided consultancy services to small and medium-sized enterprises in Hackney, Islington and the City of London.

Asif Ahmad has a BA Hons in Economics from Durham University and completed the International Executive Programme at INSEAD, France.
