Walk & Talk for Prostate Cancer

Prostate Cancer is our chosen Charity. Although it is one of the most curable forms of cancer if caught early, 47,000 men in the UK are diagnosed every year with the condition, claiming approximately 11,000 lives.

In July and August 2021, JN Bank UK hosted two ‘Walk & Talk for Prostate Cancer’ events, in collaboration with the Errol McKellar Foundation.

The goal was to raise awareness, share experiences and fund-raise to help in the fight against prostate cancer.

The funds from both events will be used by the Errol McKellar Foundation to purchase a special mobile unit to bring testing to local communities across the UK. The mobile unit will be specially kitted out to provide PSA testing/screening for prostate cancer.

The response from the community was overwhelming, which resulted in the introduction of ‘Sit and Talk for Prostate Cancer’ sessions at our branch in Brixton
