The Errol McKellar Foundation’s Jingle & Mingle Event

On Thursday December 7th we were pleased to host The Errol McKellar Foundation for their end of year event dubbed ‘Jingle & Mingle’ at our branch community space. The attendees consisted of some of their stakeholders including patrons and other stakeholders of their Prostate Cancer charity. There were several members of their Sit & Talk Coffee Mornings support group as well as their Walk & Talk for Prostate Cancer 5K groups at the function with their families and friends.

Over the past 2 years, JN Bank UK has helped to raise £4,360 pounds for The Errol McKellar Foundation. Our Deputy CEO Paulette Simpson CBE was delighted to present a cheque to Errol McKellar MBE, at the event to reflect this. The Foundation has been on a mission to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer and to help save lives, since it was founded by prostate cancer survivor, Errol McKellar. One of the projects they are raising funds for, is to purchase a Mobile PSA blood testing unit which will help them to expand this important work across the country.

Since 2021 The Errol McKellar Foundation have been hosting monthly Sit & Talk Prostate Cancer Coffee Mornings support group at our branch community space in Brixton. You can see a full schedule and details of the 2024 dates here.

The Sit & Talk Coffee Mornings is a small support group of persons affected by Prostate cancer to meet, talk and share together. Families and friends of those affected are also welcome to attended and join in the conversation. There are usually special guest presenters (including treatment specialist) from time to time, to provide useful information and offer support and advice to the group.
