Brixton BID AGM

On Wednesday February 8^th 2023 our branch in Brixton was at capacity for the Brixton Business Improvement District (BID) Annual General Meeting. Brixton BID was established by local businesses in 2014 and works to make Brixton and surrounding areas a sustainable and distinctive destination. There are currently over 500 businesses who are members of Brixton BID.

At the event there were over 60 business owners present from the local community representing a variety of sectors. The evening was a buzz of activity, conversations, and networking across the room, once the formal proceedings were over.  This was all enhanced by the local deejay who created a lovely vibe with her delightful selection of music.

Our Deputy CEO Paulette Simpson CBE gave a warm and delightful welcome to everyone and informed the gathering about our organisation. One of the main speakers for the evening was Lai Wah Co, from Bank of England who gave an engaging and insightful presentation on the current Monetary Policy Report.

It was a pleasure hosting and meeting so many of our lovely neighbours and fellow businesses in Brixton and look forward to hosting many of them soon as we strive to ‘enrich lives and build communities’.
